This is a weather-proof dual function limiter designed for outdoor use. It offers overload portection and anti-two block ultimate upper limit protection. It will suit any hoist with a wire rope greater than 9 mm (3/8″) up to 16 mm (5/8″). The load limiter is installed onto a hoist at the rope’s dead end or equalizer sheave.
When your load exceeds the lifting capacity of you crane, a load limiter will cut power to the up control of your hoist, forcing you to move the load down. This can prevent injury, avert lost downtime from a damaged crane, and prevent expensive accidents and insurance claims.
This load limiter is custom built to be calibrated to your hoist’s capacity. The load limiter is electrically connected yoru hoist’s up control. When the hoist lifts the load it it increases the tension of the rope, which activates the limit device.
